Looking for the ultimate exotic getaway? Martinique might just be the perfect destination for your next holiday.
Nestled in the heart of the Caribbean Sea, this “Island of Flowers” is a vibrant blend of heavenly beaches, the majestic Mount Pelée volcano, and lush tropical forests. Whether you are a fan of world-class diving, rugged hiking, or simply want to relax on golden sands and discover vibrant local markets and Creole gastronomy, this island offers something for every traveller.
Over the 2018-2019 end-of-year holidays, we spent three weeks immersing ourselves in the magic of Martinique. Arriving at the start of the summer season, we enjoyed perfect temperatures between 25°C and 35°C, with only two days of rain in nearly a month. This generous timeframe allowed us to truly take our time—balancing long coastal walks with quiet afternoons on the beach before the peak crowds arrived. We left with incredible memories, and on this page, we’ve gathered all our favourite spots and practical tips to help you plan your own unforgettable Martinique adventure.
