Speke Hall is a Tudor style mansion located close to Liverpool Airport. Its construction began in 1530 and it was improved and expanded in the following years. Today Speke Hall is owned by National Trust and is open to the public.

Speke Hall est un ancien manoir de style Tudor situé proche de l’aéroport de Liverpool. Sa construction débuta en 1530 et il fut amélioré et agrandi au cours des années qui suivirent. Aujourd’hui Speke Hall est une propriété d’une National Trust et est ouvert au public.

The visit of the manor is done by small group every 30 min. The interior is very interesting to see and a guide explains in detail all the history of this building. The manor is very well preserved and richly decorated. Following this visit we went for a walk in the park of the property. The park is adjacent to Liverpool Airport and it is possible to see the planes landing. You need at least 2 hours to have time to visit the whole property.

La visite du manoir se fait par petit groupe toutes les 30 min environs. L’intérieur est très intéressant à voir et un guide vous explique en détail toute l’histoire de cette bâtisse. Le manoir est très bien conservé et richement décoré. Suite à cette visite nous sommes allés faire une promenade dans le parc de la propriété. Le parc est adjacent à l’aéroport de Liverpool et il est possible de voir les avions atterrir. Il vous faudra compter 2h au minimum pour avoir le temps de visiter toute la propriété.
