Looking for quiet days out, walks to do with your dogs or spend some time observing the wildlife then the North Pennines National Landscape is the place you should go to.
The North Pennines National Landscape is a range of hills situated in the North of England, in the counties of Cumbria, Northumberland, County Durham and North Yorkshire. It is the second largest National Landscape in UK with an area of 2,000 km2. It is also classified as a UNESCO Global Geopark. It is mainly composed of open heather moors, rivers, hay meadows and stone-built villages showing the remains of a mining and industrial past.
