After living nearly four years in Manchester we decided to move to Cumbria. Since 2018, we have been exploring Cumbria and in particular the Lake District National Park. This park was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2017. It is the biggest national park in England with an area of 2362 km2. Cumbria also contains a part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and of the North Pennines National Landscape.

All the walks we did can be directly accessed from the map or from the list of blog posts below. Most of them are dog friendly. Dog must be kept on lead when crossing fields with livestocks. Additionally, you will be able for each walk to download a PDF with clear guidances and GPX file by visiting our page on the walking website Visorando. A link specific to the PDF of the walk is also provided in each blog post.
Find PDF and GPX files of our walks on Visorando website.
